Traditionally, Hematite symbolizes rigour, robustness, and inflexibility.

In crystal healing, it is mainly used for its ability to provide courage, patience, and self-confidence: three "ingredients" that help in overcoming problems.

It is also known for energizing without tension, soothing, relaxing, and purifying. It is used for its ability to combat fatigue and stress.

Hematite is recommended for shy individuals because it opens one up to others, as well as to oneself.

On a spiritual level, Hematite reharmonizes energy balances when they are dominated by too much Yin energy.

Hematite has affinities with professions that require listening to others, such as lawyers, doctors, or social workers.
